Kathure Nyamu

Kathure Nyamu is a seasoned financial services executive with over 28 years of experience, including a decade leading investment banking firms as CEO. Her career spans prominent institutions such as NCBA Investment Bank, CBA Capital, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and Deloitte, where she has built a reputation for strategic leadership, corporate finance advisory, asset management, and capital mobilisation. She is particularly noted for building greenfield businesses from the ground up, growing assets under management from KES 800 million to over KES 52 billion in ten years, and successfully steering the complex post-merger integration following the 2019 NIC-CBA merger, achievements that positioned NCBA Investment Bank as Kenya's second-largest Unit Trust Fund Manager.

Kathure is a recognized capital markets expert who has advised on landmark transactions at both local and international levels, including Afreximbank's Global Depositary Receipts listing on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius and debt and equity raises on the Nairobi Securities Exchange. She has collaborated with multilateral agencies such as the African Development Bank and the French Development Authority, and most recently chaired a Government of Kenya advisory committee focused on leveraging local financial markets for Public-Private Partnership financing.
