What is the Enwealth Capital Limited Unit Trust Scheme?

The Enwealth Capital Unit Trust Scheme is an umbrella fund comprising five sub funds, namely the Enwealth Money Market Fund, the Enwealth Equity Fund, the Enwealth Balanced Fund, the Enwealth Dollar Money Market Fund and the Enwealth Fixed Income Fund. The objective of the Enwealth Capital Unit Trust Scheme is to provide a medium whereby investors can obtain undivided participation in a diversified portfolio of securities.

What are currently the Unit Trust returns in the Money Market Fund?

The current declared rate for the Money Market Fund is published daily on the customer portal and in at least two newspapers with national circulation, in line with Capital Markets Authority (Kenya) requirements. Please check the customer portal or contact us directly for today’s rate.

Is my money safe?

Yes, your money and assets that are purchased are safely secured in an approved bank under a custody account, and will not be affected by failure of any service provider. The custodian bank is licensed by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) and regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK).

Can I redeem funds from my investment?

Yes. Units can be redeemed by submitting a redemption request through the customer portal or to the Administrator. Redemption proceeds are paid out within the timelines disclosed for your specific fund.

What advantages are there in investing in Unit Trusts over other investments?

Affordability: generally, you can start investing with as low as Kshs 1,000. Liquidity: you can buy and sell unit trusts on any dealing/business day (except on public holidays). Professional management: fund managers spend their working lives researching and managing investments; with a unit trust, their expertise is working for you. Diversification: you spread your investment across a diverse portfolio. And a regulated investment environment.

Are Unit Trust Funds risk free?

No. However, it is deemed that the risk is lower as compared with other investment instruments because unit trust funds are based on diversification, and risk is reduced through the purchase of a wide array of different assets.

Are the Unit Trust Funds returns guaranteed?

No. Returns are not guaranteed on any of the funds. Interest income, dividends and capital gains vary with market conditions and the performance of the underlying portfolio. Investors should choose a fund whose risk profile and time horizon match their own needs and risk appetite.

Am I going to be charged when I withdraw from my Unit Trust Investment?

No, there is no exit fee charged when redeeming units of the funds.

How do I become a member?

Open the Enwealth Capital customer portal, click on Create Account and follow the steps. Alternatively, fill in the application form, attaching the relevant Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation, and email the documentation to enwealthcapital@enwealth.co.ke.
